During last week there were several tours of the Cloud 9 studios where the age difference of the visitors spanned at least 50 years!! They were a school group and a group of ‘over 60’s’ and all were fans of the Tribe and other Cloud 9 productions. It is fantastic to know that these shows appeal to a wide audience both young and old!
There were several chat sessions held in the Hexagon last week. We had Caleb Ross – LEX on Tribeworld chat on Thursday and Michael Wesley Smith – (GILES – Atlantis High, JACK – The Tribe) on the Atlantis High chat on Sunday. Both these sessions were awesome and the cast had so much fun speaking to fans all over the world.

The scenes
91 scenes were shot this week and this totalled 71 minutes of shooting time. Filming took place at the Cloud 9 studios using both the studio and other areas around the building such as the courtyard/pool area. The Parallel Unit worked for two days this week and for both days it took place in the studio.

The locations
Some interesting locations were used this week on two days. The set at Whitemans Valley (which features a lot of exteriors of buildings) was used for one day for some farm filming/countryside and road filming and warehouse filming.
The second location day was held at 2 locations: the first was Wellington Hospital and the second location was further up the valley at the Haywards Hill Power Station.
Several extras were used this week for many different purposes. They have been techno’s, farmers, stunt fighters, Kung-fu techno’s, tiny technos, other Tribes and citizen’s.

Make a start!
The earliest Crew Call was 6.30am for the location filming day at the Whitemans Valley set.
Several days this week saw filming start a lot later in the day and go through until later in the night – this is called a DAY/NIGHT.
The earliest call for our cast was 4.40am for Caleb Ross – LEX on the location shooting day. Travelling time was longer than usual, hence the very early pick-up for him! The lucky cast member with the latest pick up this week was Meryl Cassie – EBONY, with 2.40pm pickup on the DAY/NIGHT shoot.
The weather
The weather this week was a lot warmer this week, with the sun shining and lunching outside for the crew!!
Here’s the record of the weather in week 5 of the production:
