Interview: Interview with Vicky Rodewyk |
Me and My Shadow…
TW: Things that you like about your character’s personality are:
Vicky. – She’s fun, happy and herself. She brings in humour and stands out. She’s never intentionally mean. She’s in the middle of everyone and everything but she tries her best to fit in and she’s light and fluffy.
TW: Things you dislike about your character’s personality are:
Vicky. – She’s a little too self-absorbed sometimes. She makes people hate her by saying stupid things not intending to be mean. She seems to be talking to herself a lot because people don’t listen to her. Sometimes I wanna tell myself to shut up!
TW: Things you like about your character’s costume are:
Vicky. – It’s really cool, different, comfortable. It suits my character 100%.
TW: Things you dislike about your character’s costume are:
Vicky. – It’s quite small to what I normally wear.
TW: You relate/do not relate to your character because…
Vicky. – I relate. I myself am in the middle of everyone’s ages and I’m too old to be treated like a kid and too young to be treated like a mature teenager. I fit in as best I can.
TW: What do you think you have brought to your character to give her more depth/reality?
Vicky. – I’ve tuned down her girly-ness sometimes when she’s actually right. Then made her go completely back to normal when she tries to hide her feelings.
TW: What has your character taught you?
Vicky. – She taught me that sometimes you have to take risks and also let things go. Not always taking things so seriously.
