LATEST REPORT FROM TRIBMASTER
Yesterday we saw land. It took us another couple of hours to get there after we’d spotted it and we were all so excited. It was only a very small island, maybe 1/2 a kilometre across but it was full of coconut trees.
The boat was too big to land on the beach so we anchored it 100m out in the bay and swam in. We had a couple of backpacks which we filled with coconuts. We sat on the beach and managed to smash open a couple that we ate then and there.
We decided to stay the afternoon and spend some time on terra firma. We all bathed in the sea as we hadn’t washed in over a week. It was great to be able to wash some clothes and feel ready to attack the next leg of our journey.
We got back on the boat and were going to head off when we thought it might be a good idea to stay anchored in the bay for the night. We put out a couple of fishing lines and managed to catch enough fish to feed us all for dinner. I don’t think any of us really wanted to leave. It felt great to be near land and we didn’t feel like we were in the middle of no where anymore.
We woke up this morning and headed back out into the giant Pacific ocean.
Tribemaster will keep in touch.
Stay tribal…
