Sending our love and support to all those in these difficult times who are affected by the disruption of the Coronavirus COVID-19 virus pandemic that has affected and disrupted the lives of so many.
When The Tribe was first broadcast in 1999 it was hard to imagine that 20 years later there would be an actual real life virus like there is today. “Authorities are appealing for calm. Isolation now in effect.” Life in many ways has begun to resemble some of the themes and events played out in The Tribe series and its books. And it is more important today, than ever before, for each of us to support one another and to ‘be there’, to look out for one another, like so many characters in The Tribe do. To look out for our loved ones. To care for the vulnerable in our society.
Life will return to normal one day and in the meantime, there will be disruptions and challenges to face. Together, by acting as a real life ‘tribe’ – in our households, our families, our countries and our world – the challenges of today will be overcome. We are in this together. And by working together, we will get through.
In the next few weeks and months while so many are in lockdown, staying indoors at home or socially isolated (and distanced from many), Ray thought it would be a perfect time to try and help pass the time by producing more interviews and content on The Tribe TV Series Official Podcast. Ray (Executive Producer, creator of The Tribe) is hosting many of the interviews and is discussing the current COVID-19 Coronavirus situation with cast members including Danny James (ZOOT), Meryl Cassie (EBONY), Beth Allen (AMBER), Michael Wesley-Smith (JACK), Antonia Prebble (TRUDY), Michelle Ang (TAI SAN), Caleb Ross (LEX) and more cast member interviews to come in future, and we are grateful to the members of The Tribe cast for taking part. There are discussions in these new interviews on life today and of course a look back at the 20th anniversary of The Tribe series.
We hope George Jones (the wonderful Tribe fan in the UK) who first interviewed Ray in late 2019 will also be able to perform some interviews with more members of The Tribe cast.
For those who are spending more time at home, the series can be seen (in different countries) on The Tribe’s official YouTube channel, Amazon Prime (USA), Amazon Prime (UK), Tubi, Pluto TV and in a high quality Vimeo version worldwide and we hope to have more ways to watch The Tribe (which we hope will entertain and inspire at this difficult time) – and we hope to have some more online activities on our social media to join in. So look out for one another and look into the future… Lots of love and best wishes to you. Keep the dream alive x #thetribe
